Welcome to EVHS Counseling
The primary focus of your EVHS counselors is to help your student navigate the way through high school by informing them of the requirements for graduation and to also help them plan for their futures. We recognize the importance of delivering information to students and parents. We find technology to be very helpful in communicating and disseminating information to both parents and students. If you wish to contact an EVHS counselor – email will be the best avenue. Use the links to your right - to contact your student's counselor. We try to answer email within 48 hours. We also use School Loop and Tell-A-Parent to provide parents with information. Each year counselors host a series of grade level workshops for parents covering topics important to students in that grade level. Look for news announcements of these workshops on School Loop.
Students have the use of Naviance – webware which includes resources for career planning and college information. Students register in November of their 9th grade year and have use of this in high school and beyond. If your student does not have a log on or password – have them email the counselor or drop by the counseling office to create an account or reset their password.

In order to serve parents, counselor availability is as follows:
Parent Meetings: Parent meetings are scheduled by appointment - you can set up a meeting by contacting the counselor via email or leaving a contact slip in the counseling office.
Please note: Not all issues require a meeting and most issues may be handled easily through email or by phone. You may also request counselor contact by filling in a request slip in the counseling office. We always suggest contacting the teacher first - as they are the staff members who are most in tune with what is going on in the classroom on a daily basis and will be able to answer your questions and address progress in an individual class.
